Come and join us at our community science exhibition, with fun for all the family. As well as all of the activities mentioned on the EVENTS page (bubble show, talks, puppet show etc) there is more fun to be had.

Stands at the event include:

Institute of Physics – Hands on physics activities.

Tangible Networks (Bristol Robotics Lab / Bristol University Centre for Complexity Science)

UWE Centre for Transport & Society / Venturer Project – A chance to find out more about how driverless vehicles could change society and to give your views.

UWE Science Communication Unit – Science In A Box: Psychology – come and learn how the mind works. Microbiology – Get to know the bacteria living on you.

UWE Science Communication Unit – Robotics (euRathlon project) – What is a robot? Play with a toy robot, and a real one.

Somerset Waste Partnership – Reduce your waste and help save the planet! Also a Compost Champion will be coming to talk about composting.

Reptilians SW – Your chance to handle some reptiles and a variety of exotic pets.

Wells & Mendip Astronomers – Astrophotography exhibition from Pete Richardson.

Space Detectives – Hands-on interactive activities with a space theme.

Sowy Stargazers – The wonderful world of amateur astronomy.

Butterfly Conservation Somerset – Specimen samples and information on butterlies, plus microscope slides to look at.

Fizz Pop Science – Make some slime / putty and other fun experiments.

Wessex Water – Water testing activity.

Somerset Archaeology and Natural History Society – Archaeology and geophysics.
